Job Overview
Labcorp is seeking a dedicated Hospital Phlebotomist to join its inpatient laboratory team in Seattle, Washington. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting high-quality patient specimens, ensuring accurate documentation, and delivering excellent customer service in a hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for patients of all age groups.
- Collect specimens for diagnostic testing, drug screening, alcohol testing, and paternity testing.
- Accurately enter patient information into laboratory information systems.
- Prepare, label, and process specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain specimen and patient records according to laboratory standards.
- Process billing information and collect payments when required.
- Provide professional and compassionate customer service.
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Phlebotomy License (MA-P), or eligibility to obtain the license according to Washington Department of Health requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
Required Skills
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a healthcare team.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
- Ability to successfully complete a color vision test.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Salary
- $21.87–$32.28 per hour
- Additional third-shift differential may apply.
- Compensation is determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, and applicable employment agreements.
